General Information

  • School building is closed to students and visitors through Friday, May 15. Please hold on to the home learning packets your child has completed and we will collect at a later date.
  • Even though the building is closed, school is still going on! Students should be completing school activities daily. Packets have activities through this Friday, March 27. Starting Monday, March 30, students should be logging into Google Classroom daily for learning activities.
  • Google Classroom can be accessed on almost device with the internet: Smartphones & Tablets (with or without the Google Classroom App), Laptops, Desktops, even xBoxes. (Google Classroom works best on in the Google Chrome browser. Download here. Video here.)
  • If your child has access to a computer or tablet, help them to complete 3 lessons in Imagine Language and Literacy and 3 lesson in Imagine Math each week. (Imagine Learning does not work on smartphones.)
  • If your family is unable to connect to the internet, come by school (Mon-Fri 8 am-3pm) to pick up a packet outside the school.
  • Teachers and staff are working 8 am - 3 pm Monday - Friday. They are available by email, phone, Class Dojo, and Google Meet (video chat). Class Dojo is the best way to get updates and message with your child's teacher directly. Call or email if you need help connecting to Class Dojo.
  • Mondays are Edgewood's Google Meet day. See schedule above or check your child's Google Classrooms and your Class Dojo to see times and links. (On a computer, Google Meet works best in Google Chrome browser. (Download here. Video here.) On a tablet or phone, download the app either on Google Play (Android) or here Apple App Store (iPad or iPhone).)
  • In their Monday classroom Google Meet, each teacher will explain the learning activities for the week and answer any questions that students or parents have. This will be recorded and posted in Google Classroom for students who are not able to attend live.
  • Teachers will hold "office hours" throughout the day on Monday to help any teachers or parents who have questions or need help.
  • Starting the week of April 6, each student will receive a weekly participation grade in Reading, Math, and Science. It does not matter whether student is online using Google Classroom or offline using packet instruction. Here are all the grading details.
