Parents and Students:

We are excited to have you and your children at Edgewood Elementary School.

Parents, the PTA is an integral part of Edgewood Elementary.  Please support the PTA by being both members and active participants. The PTA has funded things as varied as tables for the Cafeteria, A Baby Grand piano, Books for the Library, Plants for the school beautification plan, etc. Our school benefits from our very strong PTA.

Edgewood supports several educational opportunities outside of the traditional classroom.  The first is Junior FFA (Future Farmers of America) where kids learn all about plants and use the greenhouse.  The second is the 60 voice auditioned Edgewood Chorus. The chorus provides singing opportunites in multiple languages and venues. The third is the EES Book Club.  Members meet once a month to read and discuss a current novels.  Activities are planned to enhance their reading experience such as Skyping with the author or re-creating the setting of the novel. We have an primarily aftershool Yearbook team that spend many hours preparing pages for your annual yearbook publication. Finally, we hope to offer the Girls on the Run program.  Girls participate in a 10 week program about self esteem, team builiding while training to run a 5K race. All of these activities require volunteers and Teacher sponsers.   Please fill out our Volunteer form and help us run these many activities.
